SLOW STAR      The first CD under the new name, "Slow Star" [Bloom; Slow Star, 1995: Gash Records 025], is convincing with the unique guitar sound of their early years. This pointed the way they had obviously already decided on going: simplicity, lucidity and an unassuming brilliance. The equally unassuming and likeable leader of the band talks about their approach. "A good song should say it all. Something has to be promised, and that promise has to be kept. It should contain elements that can make you laugh or bring you to tears. When a song can do that, then it's simple, clean and lucid. [Wiener Zeitung]"   Die erste unter dem (neuen) Bandnamen Bloom veröffentlichte CD "Slow Star" überzeug mit dem speziellen Gitarrensound der frühen Jahre, weist aber bereits (auf) den Weg, den die Band nun einzuschlagen gedenkt: Einfachheit, Klarheit und unaufdringliche Eleganz werden angestrebt. Georg Altziebler über das Bestreben möglichst einfach und klassisch klar klingen zu wollen: "Ein guter Song sollte alles beinhalten; es muß etwas etwas versprochen werden, es muß etwas eingehalten werden, er sollte etwas enthalten, was dich lachen läßt, und etwas, was dich zu Tränen rührt.
